Libya as they recently competed in the prestigious World Robotics Championship held in Houston. Out of 224 participating teams, these talented young innovators advanced to this global stage, having triumphed over an impressive pool of over 10,000 teams from regional championships worldwide.
The Libya Regional Robotics Championship served as a platform that brought together aspiring young minds from diverse backgrounds, cities, and communities across Libya. Witnessing the camaraderie and collaboration among the participating students was awe-inspiring. The spirit of friendly competition created an atmosphere of excitement and fostered a sense of unity among the teams, transcending regional boundaries and igniting a shared passion for robotics.
In a remarkable display of talent and innovation, the LYBOTICS Wizards Team from Libya concluded their awe-inspiring journey at the Global Robotics Olympics 2023 (FIRST Global Challenge).

In 2023, the world’s attention turned to the World Robotics Championship, where participants from all corners of the globe competed to showcase their skills in the field of robotics. Among the participants were three teams from Libya, who managed to make a significant impact in the competition with their innovative and creative solutions.
Ghofran is a 16-year-old high school student. Passionate about science, technology, and entrepreneurship and was the business coordinator for LYBOTICS Geniuses Team, and, the first female ever to represent Libya in the world robotics championship!
