Libya Robotics “Decode” Season 2025–2026: Inspiring the Next Generation of Innovators

The 2025–2026 FIRST Tech Challenge Libya Robotics season, themed “Decode”, is in full swing, and Libya’s robotics community is buzzing with energy and innovation! Students across the country are exploring STEM, developing critical skills, and showcasing their creativity on national and international stages.

So far, three local robotics qualifying tournaments have been completed:

  • Gheryan – December 26–27, 2025
  • Sabha – January 9–10, 2026
  • Benghazi – January 16–17, 2026

Upcoming tournaments:

  • Al-Bayda – January 23–24, 2026
  • Tripoli – January 30–31, 2026

With over 140 teams from 40+ cities and more than 4,000 students aged 12–18 participating, the competition is fierce and full of creativity. The Libya Regional Robotics Championship, scheduled for February 6–7, 2026, will determine the five teams that will represent Libya at the World Robotics Championship in HoustonUnited States of America.

The Decode challenge encourages students to solve complex problems, think critically, and collaborate effectively. Beyond the competition, it is shaping future leaders, innovators, and communicators, building confidence, resilience, and creativity across Libya’s youth.

Robotics in Libya is more than STEM, it’s a platform for education, leadership, and social impact.
